¡Hola, soy Natalia!
¡Hola! I am Natalia. Do you want to know more about me?
I have been teaching Spanish for 11 years.
I am passionate about languages and travelling, so I really love my job because thanks to it I have been able to travel and live in different countries, learn other languages and teach people from all nationalities and backgrounds.
Where am I from? I am from Caravaca, a small city in the sunny region of Murcia, Southern Spain.
When did I discover my passion for teaching? It was during an internship as a Language Assistant at a secondary school in Germany. Since then I have been working as a private tutor with adults, and also in secondary and primary school as a Spanish teacher and Head of Department in the countries I have been living.
Where have I been teaching? In Hungary, Spain, Germany, the UK and Greece and online, of course!
What did I study? I studied a BA in Translation and Interpreting Spanish-German-English, a MA in Spanish and English as foreign languages, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Modern Languages) and a MA in International Cooperation and Economics.
Why do I teach? Because I love languages and learning languages myself. I can speak English, German, French, Italian and a bit of Greek and love teaching my native language, Spanish. I think about learning a language as a tool to understand and discover another culture and I can understand the struggles of my students when learning Spanish.
Why Speak Everyday Spanish? After 8 years working in London schools and with adult learners, I realized that many of my adult students had learnt Spanish but weren´t able to use it in real communication situations. I made connections with the way Spanish and languages were taught in schools, based on grammar and passing exams, more than a tool to use in real life.
I want to help students to learn Spanish in a practical way, the real Spanish we use in a daily life, idioms, cultural expressions, slang…Our language is full of those on a daily basis!
What do I love besides teaching?
I absolutely love climbing and have been an active boulderer for years.
Animals, especially dogs. I am the mum of 2 amazing rescue doggies: Niko and Lemmy.
Travelling and living in other countries. I have been living in Spain, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Canada, the UK and now I am living in Corfu island, Greece.

Drink: IPA beer is my favourite!
